Picture of the Week #56

Nursery scene from the Henry VII tower at Pembroke Castle. Photo May 2003.

Okay, so maybe this is a little cheesy, but since Henry VII’s birthday is tomorrow I figured what the heck. 😉 And I love that medieval chair Margaret is sitting on!

  1. it’s not cheesy at all! i kinda like the idea of it… 🙂 the image is leaning towards editorial. 🙂 i love taking photos too. 🙂 if i may, if i were to take it though, i’d shoot it in a different perspective, kinda lower to give the hero feel to the photo. 🙂 but your image looks nice 🙂

  2. Oh I like it, thanks for sharing. Glad I found your blog!

  3. oh I love the hairstyles then. This is a great photo of them. How the heck did they get them through the doorways? There had to be some occasional ducking.

  4. Ha! I never though about going through the doors with those crazy headdresses. And I always wondered about going up an down those stone spiral staircases in those dresses!

  5. How interesting Henry VII was born on January 28. That’s the same day Henry VIII died. (It’s also the date of the Challenger explosion. Odd day.

  6. I have one of this chairs or at least a very similar one. It is made in Indonesia.
It is interesting how design travels around trough time and borders.
