St. Nicholas Church, Blakeney, Norfolk, England. Photo May 2015.
This is the west tower of the church – I’ll eventually post a photo that also shows the eastern tower, which may have been used as a beacon. The church is up on a hill and it easily visible from the beach, so it’s likely this tower and/or the eastern tower were used a navigation points when the town was a very active seaport from medieval times up to the 20th century.

Royal Standard above the Round Tower at Windsor Castle. Photo May 2015.
I was trying to think of a good picture to mark the passing of Queen Elizabeth II this past Thursday and chose another view of the Royal Standard at Windsor Castle, since both of the times I visited the castle she was in residence.

Village of Collyweston in Northamptonshire, England. Photo May 2015.
Something a little different this week – an evening view of the village and landscape out of the window of my room at The Collyweston Slater (highly recommended place to eat, drink, and/or stay if you’re in the area!). Collyweston was the site of the grand house of Margaret Beaufort, although little of it remains today. Unfortunately I didn’t really have time to explore the area but since the village was in a convenient place along the route I was driving I couldn’t resist at least staying the night there. Hopefully I’ll have a chance to get back there and explore the area a bit more.
