So great to find another book on the Tudors…can’t wait to read it.
I thoroughly enjoyed the excerpt, looking forward to reading the book in it’s entirety!!
Thanks for a great post! can’t wait to read the book and would LOVE to win it!
I’ve long been a fan of Chapuys..excited to read the book..I’d be even more excited if I won it!
So Francis I was King Louis’ ‘son’? Such a glaring inaccuracy reflects on the rest of the book, I have to say.
Can not wait just from reading the excerpts it should be a very good read Would love to win
I asked Lauren Mackay and she said yes, the father was an editing typo and would be rectified. Starkey has errors, Ives has the wrong bishop name, GW Bernard has the wrong execution date! It happens and doesn’t reflect on the book at all
Chapuys was a keen observer of the court life of Henry VIII. I can’t wait to read this book!
I would love to read this! I find Chapuys such an interesting fellow! Thanks for the article!
