* The Missing Tudors: black people in 16th-century England – They were baptised and buried in parishes across the country, and even attended queens at court. So why, asks Onyeka, do we continue to airbrush black Africans out of Tudor England?
* Work starts on ‘exceptional’ Beauchamp Chapel in Warwick – Work is set to start on the restoration of a 15th Century chapel, described by English Heritage as being “of exceptional interest”.

The dramatization of “Wolf Hall” is something I’m really looking forward to seeing. I have tried so hard, and so often, to read the novels, but just can’t get past the first few pages. The writing style is hard for me to comprehend…and I am a voracious reader! Seeing Ms Mantel’s novels played-out on screen will definitely help when it comes time to me trying the words again.
Any idea when the project will be completed? Nice that it will be shown in the U.S. on PBS…but usually that is MONTHS after something is shown on BBC.
If they’re still finalizing the casting, I’m assuming it will still be a while before we see it. But I’ll keep tabs on it and update as more news comes along!
And I “read” both “Wolf Hall” and “Bring Up the Bodies” via audiobook, which I think they were particularly well-suited for, for what it’s worth. (Honestly, that’s the way I read most fiction these days!)
Anyone know when the final book is coming out? I loved “Wolf Hall” but I am holding off reading the second until I can go all the way through. I hate stopping and having to remember everything in a series like this.
