View down the link of a model of the Mary Rose. Photo June 2000.
I know I’ve already used a lot of images from the Mary Rose museum, but since they started construction of the new museum yesterday I thought I would use another. This is a view down the length of the model that I featured way back in Picture of the Week #3.
I’d be interested to know the approximate size and the scale of this lovely model. (My husband used to make architectural models, so when I see a model I always wonder about scale.)
Unfortunately it’s been too long (10 years) since I was there so I can’t remember what the size of the model was. I want to say that it was a few feet long, but I can’t remember for sure. And of course this was before I had a digital camera, so I wasn’t in the habit of taking photos of the information cards as much as I do now.
