I’m guessing that no matter how inaccurate the history in the series is, we won’t be seeing Anne of Cleves doing a soul or R&B number.

Singer Joss Stone is to play Anne of Cleves in the third season of The Tudors, the BBC has confirmed.
It will be the first TV acting role for the 22-year-old, who made her debut in fantasy film Eragon in 2006.

Anne wasn’t ever known as a musician. So if there is an Anne musical moment, it will hopefully be comic. As was much of the marriage.
Anne was supposed to be this disgusting horsey-faced girl, who had no clue about personal hygiene. Henry found her repulsive.

If you take a look at Hans Holbein’s portrait of Anne, she is far from “beyond ugly” in fact she looks perfectly normal. Holbein’s portrait is regarded by most historians as accurate and not over flattering (as most portrait artists did for their subjects). Henry probably complained about his new wife’s appearence because she was German, didn’t sing or dance or dress in the fashion English ladies did, or she wasn’t that into him either (who would want to marry an obese, maniac anyways despite being King?).
