Sad news came this week of the death of Tudor historian Eric Ives. Here are two short obituaries, but I’ll post any others that I find in future news round-ups.

Ives had a biography of Henry VIII coming out in the next couple of years, according to Amazon – I had pre-ordered it. I hope it was far enough along to be published in some form, maybe with help from his associates or favorite grad student. A sad loss.
Was honored to spend an evening at Hever with Prof. Ives in July 2011. What a lovely man. He’ll be so missed.
So sad about Eric Ives! I had not heard.
