  1. What a lovely church! Do you by any chance know if it would have looked like this in Shakespeare’s time, or whether there’s been a lot of changes made?

  2. I finally had a chance to dig out my guidebook to see how much rebuilding was done to the church between Shakespeare’s time and now, and it sounds like the interior would be pretty recognizable to Shakespeare, but there have been a few changes to the exterior. The big difference is the spire, which was shorter in Shakespeare’s time and replaced with the one you see now in the mid-18th century.
