The most recent example relates to <a href=\"http:\/\/tudorhistory.org\/blog\/2008\/04\/27\/portrait-of-elizabeth-i-in-roanoke-gift-shop-may-be-the-real-deal\/\">a portrait of Elizabeth I that I first posted about nearly 5 years ago<\/a> that is now going on display after authentication and conservation work.<\/p>\n<p>* <a href=\"http:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/culture\/art\/art-news\/9862702\/Rare-portrait-of-Elizabeth-I-owned-by-North-Carolina-Garden-Club-shown-in-Washington.html\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rare portrait of Elizabeth I owned by North Carolina Garden Club shown in Washington<\/a><\/p>\n<p>* <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-2277221\/Portrait-Elizabeth-I-showing-wrinkles-goes-display.html#axzz2KgmjUgxR\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Elizabeth I as you&#8217;ve never seen her before: Portrait showing off her wrinkles goes on display<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In continuing Richard III news:<\/p>\n<p>* <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/uk-england-leicestershire-21427369\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Richard III tomb design proposed by society<\/a><\/p>\n<p>* <a href=\"http:\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/news\/2013-02-13\/richard-iii-follow-up-documentary-to-air-on-more4-this-month\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Richard III follow-up documentary to air on More4 this month<\/a> &#8211; This one sounds like it might have more of the science of the investigation in it.<\/p>\n<p>And of course the Richard III discovery has prompted several calls for new digs to find other historical people.
