Sorry for the silence last weekend in particular &#8211; I got really ill about a week and a half ago and I basically slept all of last Saturday and Sunday. Thankfully I got better before the holidays!<\/p>\n<p>* The BBC&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/arts\/yourpaintings\/\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Your Paintings<\/a> (which <a href=\"http:\/\/tudorhistory.org\/blog\/2011\/06\/26\/sunday-short-takes-36\/\">I first mentioned back in 2011<\/a> when it was getting started) has now compiled the nation&#8217;s collection of 210,000 paintings!<\/p>\n<p>* The <a href=\"http:\/\/media.nationalarchives.gov.uk\/index.php\/category\/audio\/\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">UK National Archives podcasts<\/a> have <a href=\"http:\/\/media.nationalarchives.gov.uk\/index.php\/bess-of-hardwick\/\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">a new one out on Bess of Hardwick<\/a><\/p>\n<p>And finally, there were several articles out on the recreation of the Blue Boar Inn in Leicester where Richard III stayed the night before the Battle of Bosworth.
