Things have been busy, as you might have guessed!<\/p>\n<p>* The celebrations that I <a href=\"http:\/\/tudorhistory.org\/blog\/2009\/02\/27\/celebration-of-london-in-june\/\">blogged about back in February<\/a> took place this weekend. Here is an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.london-se1.co.uk\/news\/view\/3952\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">article with some photos<\/a> and I&#8217;ve embedded a You Tube video of the pageant passing Blackfriars Pier:<\/p>\n<p><object width=\"320\" height=\"265\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/V--jKNJ3uw8&#038;hl=en&#038;fs=1&#038;color1=0x5d1719&#038;color2=0xcd311b\"><\/param><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\"><\/param><param name=\"allowscriptaccess\" value=\"always\"><\/param><embed src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/V--jKNJ3uw8&#038;hl=en&#038;fs=1&#038;color1=0x5d1719&#038;color2=0xcd311b\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" allowscriptaccess=\"always\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" width=\"320\" height=\"265\"><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n<p>* Just a reminder that the Royal Mint has some special commemorative coins out this year for the Henry 500 celebrations. I <a href=\"http:\/\/tudorhistory.org\/blog\/2008\/12\/01\/henry-viii-commemorative-coin-from-the-royal-mint\/\">posted about them back in December<\/a>, but <a href=\"http:\/\/www.royalmint.com\/focus\/henry\/henry_home.aspx\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here is the link to the page on the Royal Mint website<\/a>. (I have several of their less-expensive collectible coins, including the one for Henry, so if you&#8217;re in to those kinds of things I&#8217;d recommend them.)<\/p>\n<p>* BBC 4 is showing the program <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/programmes\/b00lbpg5\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Henry VIII: Patron or Plunderer?<\/a> with Jonathan Foyle about cultural artifacts from the reign of Henry VIII.<\/p>\n<p>* And finally (thanks to Kathy for sending this one in!) The Forme of Cury, a medieval cookbook, has been digitized and put online by the John Rylands Library in Manchester.
