I always have mixed feelings about reaching August &#8211; it means that cooler weather is closer (by October, if we&#8217;re lucky) but it also means the slower pace of summer and the time to catch up on stuff is coming to an end. August is often a brutal month weather-wise here in Texas, but the temperatures haven&#8217;t been as bad this year, and we&#8217;ve had rain. Way too much rain, as I&#8217;m sure many people have seen in the news.<\/p>\n<p>On to the round-up!<\/p>\n<p><b>Books<\/b><\/p>\n<p>We have one book that has already been released in the UK that will come out in the US at the end of August &#8211; <i><b>Tudor Princes and Princesses: The Early Lives of the Children of Henry VII and Elizabeth of York<\/b><\/i> by Aimee Fleming.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/4kjltjH\" target=\"new\">Purchase at Amazon UK<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/4l0igXn\" target=\"new\">Purchase at Amazon US<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Next up is the newest Tudor history book by Amy Licence, <i><b>Henry VIII&#8217;s Controversial Aunt, Honor Lisle: Her Life, Letters and influence on The Tudor Court<\/b><\/i>, a figure that hasn&#8217;t gotten much attention, but like so many in that time period, she had a very interesting life!
