this month because I missed it when I was writing last month&#8217;s round-up!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.getty.edu\/art\/exhibitions\/holbein\/index.html\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tudorhistory.org\/blogpics\/getty-holbein.png\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Getty Museum in Los Angeles, California is holding an exhibition titled <a href=\"http:\/\/www.getty.edu\/art\/exhibitions\/holbein\/index.html\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener\">Holbein: Capturing Character in the Renaissance<\/a> that opened on October 19, 2021 and will run through January 9, 2022. It&#8217;s always nice to be able to feature a Tudor-related exhibition over here in the US, even if this one is too far away for me to travel to see. <\/p>\n<p><b>Continuing Exhibitions<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bl.uk\/events\/elizabeth-and-mary\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tudorhistory.org\/blogpics\/elizabeth_mary_BL.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bl.uk\/\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener\">British Library<\/a>&#8216;s new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bl.uk\/events\/elizabeth-and-mary\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener\">exhibition on Elizabeth I and Mary Queen of Scots<\/a> opened on October 8 and will run through February 2022. You can book tickets at the website linked above.<\/p>\n<p>The British Library will also be hosting TudorFest on December 4 both online and at the British Library Theatre. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bl.uk\/events\/tudorfest\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here for the line-up and ticket details.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rmg.co.uk\/whats-on\/faces-of-a-queen\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tudorhistory.org\/blogpics\/faces.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rmg.co.uk\/\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Royal Museums Greenwich<\/a> united the three versions of the Armada Portrait for the first time for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rmg.co.uk\/whats-on\/faces-of-a-queen\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><i>Faces of a Queen<\/i><\/a> exhibition. I&#8217;m not sure of the end date on this one, but I&#8217;m guessing it will be on for a while since it was delayed for so long.<\/p>\n<p><b>Entertainment<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rsc.org.uk\/the-mirror-and-the-light\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tudorhistory.org\/blogpics\/rsc-mirror.png\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rsc.org.uk\/\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener\">Royal Shakespeare Company<\/a>&#8216;s production of the theatrical adaptation of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rsc.org.uk\/the-mirror-and-the-light\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener\">The Mirror and the Light<\/a> &#8211; the third book of Hilary Mantel&#8217;s Wolf Hall Trilogy &#8211; opened at the Gielgud Theatre in London on September 23 and will run through January 23, 2022.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Books A number of new books are due out in November in the UK and hopefully the global supply-chain woes won&#8217;t interfere with their releases!
