Some of these have been on my radar for over a year and a half now. And I missed this first one until shortly after I posted last month&#8217;s round-up:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/philipmould.com\/exhibitions\/24-love-s-labour-s-found-elizabethan-jacobean-portraiture\/\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tudorhistory.org\/blogpics\/laboursfound.png\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Philip Mould Gallery in London has an exhibition of Elizabethan &#038; Jacobean portraiture called <a href=\"https:\/\/philipmould.com\/exhibitions\/24-love-s-labour-s-found-elizabethan-jacobean-portraiture\/\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener\"><i>Love&#8217;s Labour&#8217;s Found<\/i><\/a> that opened on April 21 and will run through May 28.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rmg.co.uk\/whats-on\/faces-of-a-queen\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tudorhistory.org\/blogpics\/faces.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I think this exhibit was open for a short while before the pandemic set in, but regardless, now it&#8217;s back on starting May 17! The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rmg.co.uk\/\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Royal Museums Greenwich<\/a> united the three versions of the Armada Portrait for the first time for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rmg.co.uk\/whats-on\/faces-of-a-queen\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><i>Faces of a Queen<\/i><\/a> exhibition. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rmg.co.uk\/whats-on\/national-maritime-museum\/tudors-windsors-british-royal-portraits\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tudorhistory.org\/blogpics\/tudors-to-windsors.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rmg.co.uk\/whats-on\/national-maritime-museum\/tudors-windsors-british-royal-portraits\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener\"><i>Tudors to Windsors: British Royal Portraits<\/i><\/a> exhibition that has been around the world (including here in Texas!) will be opening in Greenwich on May 28 and will run through October 31.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hrp.org.uk\/hampton-court-palace\/whats-on\/gold-and-glory-henry-viii-and-the-french-king-exhibition\/\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tudorhistory.org\/blogpics\/gold-and-glory.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The celebrations of the 500th anniversary of The Field of the Cloth of Gold, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hrp.org.uk\/hampton-court-palace\/whats-on\/gold-and-glory-henry-viii-and-the-french-king-exhibition\/#gs.znunb4\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener\"><i>Gold and Glory: Henry VIII and the French King<\/i><\/a> at Hampton Court Palace were delayed for about a year, but now they are finally due to start on May 20.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.burghley.co.uk\/news\/lord-burghley-500\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tudorhistory.org\/blogpics\/cecil.jpeg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And finally, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.burghley.co.uk\/news\/lord-burghley-500\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener\">celebrations of the 500th anniversary of the birth of William Cecil, Lord Burghley<\/a> at Burghley House were also delayed because of the pandemic, but the did begin this year starting back in March and will run throughout the year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How are we already 1\/3 of the way into 2021?
